The Power of Daily Practices: Your Path to Harmony and Freedom
Developing a daily routine of internal arts over the years has allowed me to face very difficult moments in my life: from the death of my father, the separation from a partner, or the onset of an illness. This daily routine helps me stay centered and face challenges from a space of calmness. And if I stray, and emotions like fear, frustration, or anger get the best of me, I know which way to go, which path to take to return home, to the peace within.
Clearly, it requires minimal effort – the effort of wanting to be well. Intention is crucial. Without the will to be well, the body doesn't react; it doesn't activate to find a better state of harmony and health. Far from finding solutions in magical words or external factors, the internal process and the experience of certain practices like meditation, yoga, or pranayama are the key to returning to this state of stillness. Sometimes you have to go through all the stages before arriving. And this very process allows us to evolve and free ourselves from concepts, patterns, attachments, and suffering.
In the book, I discuss several practices: choose the ones that resonate most with you at this precise moment in your life. Create a combination of two or three practices and repeat them every day, giving yourself a month, for example, and trust that the change will happen within you.
Remember that meditating doesn't mean reaching nirvana, nor does being a good yogi mean touching your toes or reaching the floor. What we want to achieve is peace, free from duality, judgment, and dependence. And we achieve this through constant practice, with faith in the routine itself and in life.
The constant repetition of these practices gives us freedom – freedom from suffering – allowing us to live more harmoniously and happily with what we have, in gratitude and love towards ourselves and others.
