Your 30-minutes morning practice: an oasis of strength and peace
Aware of how much movement, but also silence, are pillars of a healthy and balanced life, I believe that the older we get, the less we need to train explosive strength, and the more we need an activating practice that allows us to feel fit and at peace with ourselves and those around us. The formula mens sana in corpore sano always works, and it's a state that must be cultivated every day. A daily thirty-minute session creates a sanctuary, a haven capable of preparing you for the day at every level: physical, mental, and emotional.
It's true that at the beginning, it requires a small effort which, as I explain in my book: My Daily Practices, is driven above all by willpower and the intention to live this life to the fullest. This will be the first step and will allow you, after just a few sessions, to maintain the necessary consistency to quickly see the benefits. I've noticed that constancy is what weighs most heavily on many people, who get easily distracted and find it difficult to maintain a rhythm. May motivation be stronger than distractions, may the will to feel good and the trust in life be the driving force, the pillar from which to move and seek a stable base that will then appear to support us in difficult times.
It's a good idea to start your morning practice right away, when you're already in a state of peace, so you are prepared for the more difficult moments, when we'll have our practice as a tool to sustain us.
Therefore, start a routine right away, composed of balancing energy with Qi Gong, flexibility of body and mind and strengthening your core with yoga, and exploring inner stillness with meditation. Thirty minutes a day, every morning, can change your perception of existence and allow you to live every moment to the fullest.
